Volunteering: Volunteers are desperately needed for Youth Club, if you can spare a couple of hours on a Wednesday night, even to serve tuck shop. A rota is up in the coffee lounge, or contact Lu on the details above.

Youth Club is an important part of Banner Cross Methodist Church ministry and now has its own theology which follows the BX Mission Statement.

Sharing God’s Love – Showing God’s Truth – Serving God’s People’

1. To share God's love we:

· Accept, welcome, care and love all who come, with a careful, thought out discipline policy.

Proverbs 13:24 ‘the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them.’

2. To Show God's truth without a ‘God-slot’, we share the gospel:

· In conversations, actions and being open about our faith

· By being located in a church building

· Through other young people who are Christians

1 John 3:18: Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth

3. We serve God's People by:

· Opening each week, conversing with youth and parents

· Staffing the group each week – choosing to serve

· Providing a safe space, with fun activities

1Peter 4:10-11: Each should use whatever gift they have received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms... with the strength God provides (so God may be praised).
