Ministry Team Co-ordinator Job Description

Ministry Team Coordinator (One for each Practice - Radical Hospitality, Passionate Worship, Intentional Faith Development, Risk-Taking Mission and Service, or Extravagant Generosity).

Purpose: To help Banner Cross fulfil its mission of making disciples through the practice of _______.

Key Tasks:

To grow in the knowledge and love of God through prayer, study, and worship.

To pray in particular about the mission and ministry of Banner Cross Methodist Church.

To attend meetings of the Church Council and Leadership Team.

To work alongside other members of the Church Council and Leadership Team in establishing and communicating a vision of growth in discipleship in all its dimensions.

To be familiar with the Five Practices of Fruitful Congregations, especially the practice of _______.

To invite, equip, and enable individuals and groups to explore, engage, and grow in the practice of _______.

To help maintain a structure of both accountability and support so all may give God their best efforts.

To lead a Ministry Team whose aim is to formulate realistic and positive short and long term goals and strategies for how the congregation can learn and improve upon the practice of _______.

To maintain contact and support with others outside that Ministry Team whose aims and methods are sympathetic to the practice of _______.

To consult with the Coordinator for Lay Leadership and Service to identify ways in which as many people as possible can be encouraged to share and grow their gifts in the practice of _______.
