Volunteering - In Church

There are a many jobs in church which rely on volunteers to do them. Some are time limited and have to be approved by Church Council or the Annual General Meeting. Those working regularly with children and young people have to have a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check. Others do not require formal approval. Banner Cross Labour Exchange So often small jobs need doing, which would only take a few minutes to someone with the appropriate skill or knowledge. It is also a fact that often people are unaware that these jobs need doing apart from a group leader or committee. The solution is the Banner Cross Labour Exchange. A sheet has been put up on the noticeboard in the Entrance Lobby. Anybody who needs a job doing in church can fill in the details on the lefthand side of the sheet. Anybody who wishes to help can then fill in their details on the righthand side of the sheet. Volunteer Jobs relating to worship include:- - Welcome Team member, sound technician, computer technician, creche helper, choir member, flower arranger, and flower distributor. Other volunteer jobs include:- - Junior Church Teacher/Helper - Youth Club Helper - Junior Badminton Helper - Parent Toddler Group Helper - Lunch Club Helper - Coffee Morning Helper - Ecclesall Neighbourhood Welcomers Group If you are interested or require further information please speak to a member of the Leadership Team or the minister. |
