Banner Cross Church Testimony Book

On Sunday, 15 May 2011 we had a café worship service led by our youth workers, Lu and Craig, and some of our young people. It was based on a sleepover weekend, which took place a week earlier. The young people took part in various forms of worship and were asked to make comments on the forms of worship and discuss their likes and dislikes. Half way through the service one of the young people gave a personal testimony on how her life had been changed through getting to know God.

After this courageous speech we were all invited to talk to the people at our tables about or own experiences of God in our lives. Many of us find it difficult to talk to other people about this subject. The youth workers provided a blank book and asked people to write their testimonies in it or on sheets provided at the tables. After the excellent speech by the young person, it was disappointing not to have a stronger response from the rest of the congregation. Perhaps we need to reflect on the example we set for young people struggling to know God's presence in their lives – and learn from their example to us!"

The Banner Cross Methodist Church Testimony Book is still here waiting to be filled. If you wish to share any of your encounters with God please complete My Testimony, or write them down on a piece of paper, or on an e-mail and send it to the Reverend Robert Lewis or Lawrie Ginn.
