Back To Church Sunday
|
What Is It All About? 1. Back to Church Sunday is all about the people who are not here. 2. Its aim is to reach the people who are not here through the people who are. 3. Success isn’t a percentage, a number, or a line on a graph. Success is one person inviting one person. 4. Success is best achieved when all churches act together as One Big Church: invitation on the ground, invitation in the air – one message on one day. 5. The invitational resources used are ethically produced so that we can make the most positive difference in the lives of our suppliers and minimise our environmental impact. The organisers guard against waste and oversupply. Given this, they aim to secure the best value resources for the participating churches. 6. What happens each Back to Church Sunday is measured through evaluations from participating churches and the organisers are transparent about the results. They listen to feedback and learn from it. 7. To be most effective the Back to Church Sunday team needs a focus. That began with and continues to be the network of participating Anglican dioceses in England. However what is produced works well for other Christian churches and so the Anglican Church shares it's resources, experience and systems with them too.
