About Our Church

Banner Cross Methodist ChurchFor over a hundred years, Banner Cross Methodist Church has stood at the heart of its community.  Whilst our neighbourhood along Ecclesall Road has changed greatly over the past century, the people of Banner Cross have remained a congregation with open hearts and open doors.

At its heart, Banner Cross Methodist Church is a worshipping community sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.  Central to that identity, however, is a spirit of generous sharing and and loving welcome that bids neighbours in to become friends. All are welcome to join us for worship, fellowship, and learning.

A Sunday morning serviceIn any given week, hundreds of people visit our premises to take part in a wide variety of activities—worship services and youth clubs, uniformed organizations, lunch club, coffee mornings, choral societies, toddlers’ groups, bridge… the list goes on and on!   We treasure our partnerships with community organizations that make use of our facilities, and we welcome new opportunities to share our premises and ourselves with neighbours and with friends.

There are, however, a few people you might wish to know in particular. These are "the servants of the servants of God:"
